hello all! I have not forgotten about my humble blog, nor your favorite photos. I've been at camp in New York with JUUUUUST enough internet to check email if the wind was blowing in from the East just right. I will be rolling into Florida late tomorrow & will update this blog like woah soon enough. :) Hope all is well!

Ahh, I love the sound of live jazz! It draws you in and makes your soul dance. It got the privilege to enjoy & photograph the Keene State jazz band reunion in Keene, NH. Man can they jam! Don Baldini conducts the jazz ensemble there and called the shots for most of the open jam session. A good time was certainly had by all! Can't wait til next year!

Alrighty.... so for this week, I decided to go with the super obvious to celebrate one of my FAVORITE holidays....

This could be ANYTHING! Fireworks, celebrations, veterans, flags, patriotic tchotchkes, hot dogs, watermelon... whatever symbolizes 4th of July to you!! You know you are celebrating. You know you have the day off. Bring your camera already! Shoot off some fireworks AND photos :)

Family ties

Hooray for family! A couple weeks back I got to spend some time with my cousins before we went into the depths of Southwest Missouri for some camping. Enter stage left: Robin, Pat, Cassie & Greyson. Robin & Pat are super creative folks, real kids at heart. Pat just opened an ice cream place called "Ice Scream" to express his love of creepy horror stuff & specialty creepy candy. (I can't vouch for the gooey eye balls, but the ice cream is delicious!) Between running an art gallery, art camp, a haunted house, a theatre, turing an old factory into a really sweet home & raising 2 beautiful kidos... I don't know they do it! Basically, they rock! They were really fun to work with and I think the photos turned out awesome! Hope you enjoy them!

Cassie is quite the dancer. Greyson can't help but try and do what big sister is doing. He still falls down a lot, but he's getting it. I think he's more of a mosh pit kinda guy anyhow. :)

When a photographer's brother gets married...

I got the GREAT pleasure of working with Matt & Paulette Griswold last weekend. It was Matt's lil brother Mike's turn to tie the knot to the oh so cute Crystal. It was sooo much fun, Mike & Crystal are really laid back and since, well, this is what we all do for a living, they were like... just do your thing, you are the pros. Nice. Good things happen when artists get the green light. :D Yeah, so not only was it great working with Paulette and photographing the snot out of Matt, their families were SUPER DUPER nice & had me feeling like a guest by the end of the night. Ah, good times. Hope you are enjoying the photos in their new spiffy size & new spiffy centered alignment!
